Goddess Of Rain 2 Poem by Avik Datta Gupta

Goddess Of Rain 2

Rating: 4.5

With skies and flowers, glitter and the glee!
Oh! Goddess of Rain please come to me
Do you see me watch the clouds you wear
That hides your smile I seek in despair
Holding hands with thunder you seem to dance
Without giving me a heed.. or a moments glance
I'm in a dry desert very far away
As you dance with the rains, throughout the day
You haven't changed a bit, but I have gone old
There were so many nothings that never got told
When your dance is done with your clouded grace
I'd long to smear some sunlight on your face
And behold your smile for that moment, just as before
When I was younger and your presence was allured
There was just a rod on which I strolled
As the blue eyes in the skies, took you away untold
The disc in the sky mocks loud at me
As my eyes grow weak as it ought to be
But in my dreams you are very close and near
Very clear and very dear
Do you feel my longing just for you
As you behold blue eyes as I dream of you
