Gods Gift To An Unforgiving Sinner - Poem by Matthew Taton

I Sit Here,
Writing to you.
Thinking Of You.
Falling For You.

You Have The Heart Of A Lion.
The Voice Of A Siren.
Your Voice Sings A Melody,
Every Time You Speak.
It Runs Through My Ears,
Buckling My Knees, Making Me Fall Weak.

I Speak To God.
Pleading To Him.
'Safe This Beautiful Soul'
'Take Mine And Keep Her Loved'
'Don't Hurt This Perfection'
'Don't Change My Selection'
'Show Her The Affection,
That I Left Behind.'
Why Am I In Heaven?
For I Am Not An Angel,
But A Sinner.
So Why Am I Here?

His Marble Hands Grab My Cheeks.
And As He Speaks,
'You Are Her Guardian, You Are
Her Savior'
I Brought You Here To Protect
Her. Watch Over Her With
All Your Might'
'With These Wings, You Must
Fly Down To Her. Never Lose

Arriving At The Edge Of Your
I Walk To Your Side, And
Pull The Fabric Off Your Face.

In Such Astonishment, I Fall
To The Floor.
At Last Again, This Angel Dies.

Walking Across His Golden Kingdom,
I Arrive At His Throne And Tell Him.
'Forgive Me God For My Sight Has Been Lost'
'Forgive Me God For I Return, With Heart Set Afire'

'What Brings You To My Feet? '

'Beauty My Lord. For This Woman
Had The Looks Only You Can Admire'
'With Eyes Set To Pierce The Heart'
'Removing Her Covers, I Stared Deeply In Her Lust'
'With Skin Made Of Silk'
'And Lips Felt Of Milk.'

'Again I Ask You, What Brings You To My Feet? '

'My Lord I Plead To You'
'Let Me Hold Her, Let Me Love Her, Let Me Die With'
'With This Plea, I Beg Of You To Let Me Live'
'For I Repay You With Such Great Labor'
'For I Am An Angel, And No Longer A Sinner'

Without Another Word Spoken,
My Eyes Open To See This Perfection.
I Hold This Angel, Never Meant To Be Broken.
For She Is An Angel, And Never Was A Sinner.
