Going Down - Poem by Lance Carthen

going, going, going down...
going, going, going down...
going, going, going down...
down, down, down, down,

(the rebel music begins)

We bash ourelve's with crucifixes.
Doing away with the people's wishes.
Wasting our lives just to burn with the witches.
Fighting the pain from untying the stitches.

Why cant the people understand us?
They do their best to burn and brand us?
Try to hold us down like a dog and command us.
But to us their world is so fictitious.

I am slipping away.
I cant see through the haze.
We are slipping away.
But we eat right through the hate.
I am drowning but I wont hold my breathe.
We are defying..
The mechanical quota from our government.

going, going, going down...
going, going, going down...
going, going, going down...
down, down, down, down...

Ladies and gentlement...
We thank you...
Please discard your life on your way out...
