Forgotten Poem by Lance Carthen

Forgotten

Smiles in the trees.
Frowns upon the ground.

Reflection from a cracked glass...
I know Im hell bound.

Papercut for happiness.
Glued to stereotype.

The day I pulled myself free.
T'was the day I started to die.

I dont feel the love.
But I cant get enough.

My love for you...
Has made me untrue.

My stomach stings in pain...
When my lips spit your name.

I could live to feel a thousand deaths...
Each one would be in vain.

I dont belong here...
To this world of love and hate.

I dont belong here...
To the world that god made...

For you
