Going To Jail For Me Poem by Randy McClave

Going To Jail For Me

He shouted out loud
As he preached to the crowd,
How he would do anything for us
Because, he was sent by Jesus.
He said that he could kill anyone
And his crowds just cheered him on,
And how he wouldn't lose a single vote
In history books that is now wrote.
For me, he said he'll go to jail
Never not once did he pay his insurrectionists bail
When they did whatever he asked
His command was their loving task.
He said for me he would always fight
But, he instead was hiding that night
And he didn't cared who died
As he did hide.
He said he would be my president
And he'll fight for me at the White House resident,
For me, he said he'll do anything
As he dances and tries to sing.
He shouted out once again
How he'll do anything for me now and then,
He said he would go to jail for me
But, he wouldn't even go to Vietnam for his country.
