Golden Moment Poem by Grant House

Golden Moment

Rating: 5.0

travel down your road
the end of the rainbow
gets closer

it is literally
just a few feet ahead
in front of the median divider
on your left
right at your feet
careening up into the sky

let it in
that profound sense
that intense rush of reality
that what you
have finally found
at the end of the rainbow
after all these years
since your magical childhood
all the futile attempts
the struggling to get over
just this one more hill
around just one more
bend in the road
is you

the sun rains down brightly
between the clouds
on freshly washed golden
grass-covered hills glowing
as if from a source of light
radiating out from within

the treasure at the end
or maybe it is in truth
the aspirational beginning
of your rainbow
is right here
where you are

I am traveling
you say
yet grounded
I am grounded
you exclaim in wonder
yet soaring
soaring high along the arc
of your very own
multicolored
now

a golden moment
in which
the sun
clouds
wind
radiant rolling hills
the rain
your past
this now
the journey ahead
the great full spectrum
rainbow arc of life
and who you really are
are one

welcome home traveller
welcome home

Nice profound works 8n all of your poem constructions...and a variety also. I like them all. This one with the Rainbow, I feel connected to in some way, as if I am under it and having an out of body experience...so interseiint. Possibly because it stretches over the reader as it is being admired... thanks and welcome. -Gio
