Good-Bye - Poem by Mitzi Albright

Wonder how you’re doing now
Are you staying warm and dry?
I’m sorry I can’t be there
And that I never said good-bye

I hope you all still feel loved
Had to leave but don’t know why
Got thrown out of all your lives
And couldn’t say good-bye

I dream about you all the time
Sometimes I even cry
I didn’t want to leave you
There wasn’t time to say good-bye

I miss your loving kisses
And your silly little cry’s
I wish that I could hold you close
And never say good-bye

Maybe someday we’ll meet again
If I can I know I’ll try
All of you were my best friends
The day I never said good-bye
