Good Enough For Heaven Poem by Richard Jarboe

Good Enough For Heaven

Let's say you're good enough to go to Heaven,
You qualified and got through admissions,
And let's say they give you an apartment,
Under certain conditions.

Upkeep will be your responsibility,
So let's say the dishwasher breaks,
It's your job to get it running again,
No matter what it takes.

This also pertains to the roof,
And driveway up to your door,
And don't forget Heaven's Gate,
And polishing your floor.

If your an older worker but still need a few hints,
Just ask even older workers, who might have a few tips,
And though these older workers are probably dead,
You can rely on the tips of their spirits instead.

Eternity is a long time,
And things tend to break,
But you only have to fix them once,
And that's not too bad for Heaven's sake.
