Good Friends Stick Together Poem by Esther Hudson

Good Friends Stick Together

Rating: 5.0

I stared at you as you walked away
'Friend, I need you! ' I cry
'You have nothing, you are not my friend, ' you say
I let out a cry, a plea for help
You walk away
They walk away
You stare at me
'Friend, come to me! ' I say
You shake your head and turn away
I sob
The wounds inside me are greater than the ones on the outside
A person in white comes up to me
They cure my inside wounds and hug me
'An angel? ' I ask
No, I am your friend'.
