Please Stay By My Side Friend
I sat on the train
The air was cold
I hoped that maybe
You'd be there today
But when I got off the train
You were not there
I had a little spark of hope
But it was replaced with doubts
You were not coming
I started to cry
The tears would not stop
But when I looked up
You were there
You pulled me close
And wiped away my tears
You told me not to cry
Because you were there
My best friend was here.
