As the night eats in
My eyes tuck in
My thoughts take you in
I set sails to my happy place
My soul now knows serenity

Before i met you
I courted insomnia
My heart tormented
Casting my soul in darkness
Which in turn robbed me off sleep

Now you came into my life
Like the sunrise in spring
You've breathed life into me
Now thoughts of you lull me
Your love ignites me

I wake up from a dream of you
There's an inner warmth to that
I am working on waking next to you
But before i do
I'd like you to know

You've brought light into my life
Now it feels right
So i write this
In appreciation of you
You i tell
