Good Night My Dear Poem by Gladden Scribbles

Good Night My Dear

Rating: 5.0

Good night my dear, it's time to sleep
now that you have fall off life's steep
weep no more for the reaper's deed
for the taker's work is his deed;
soar on high to lethe's flowing stream,
where we shall meet in the world of dream.

Good night my love, it's time to sleep
now that these lips are mumbling deep
bear in your heart as a celestial sheep
that death is a seed we all must reap
and just as a stalker lurking his prey
we all are in oblivion of the captor's day.

Good night my dear, it's time to sleep
now that the sweeper has come for the sweep
bear on strongly the sweeper's sweeping,
for it's the owner's choice for home calling
good night my love, it's just a farewell to life
and a final goodbye to all your strife.
