Good people perform good deeds every day
And to help others out they go out of their way
And respect to the rights of others they do pay
Though not enough of their kind that does seem fair to say
They never deliberately put others down
And they never do wish to be toast of the town
They have compassion and empathy gifts that are rare
And of the feelings of others they are always aware
A few very good people I feel privileged to know
One might say of them they have the inner glow
The sort of people I can only admire
And of singing their praises I could never tire
Compassionate and caring and free of conceit
A privilege to know and a joy for to meet.
