Good To Be Living Poem by Francis Duggan

Good To Be Living

The sun shining bright in a sky blue and gray
How good to be living on such a nice day
A forecasted weather temperature high of a pleasant twenty degrees
With only a very slight afternoon breeze
Gathering nectar from the flowering plants wild brown honey bees
And nesting birds singing on the sunlit trees
With the warmer days of Summer as ever drawing near
October is a lovely time of the year
The countryside at it's greenest after the recent rain
With such pleasant weather none ought to complain
The years first white butterflies out at the prime of the Spring
Nature it is such a wonderful thing
And it is a thing of great beauty to see
Nature's wildflowers in bloom all around me.
