Goodbye Poem by Nathan Barkley

Goodbye

Rating: 5.0

'Goodbye' we said at the same time
I know, it was about time
I won't blame you
it was both our faults
Even though our voice would destroy our very own hearts
Our beautiful days has lost its sun
Our passionate nights has lost it stars

Our perfect world is dead
It won't come back again
I beg you let it all out
So I know you felt this too
Just like lightning
Kiss me for second
We both know you meant it
Just like a thunderbolt
Strike me with a goodbye
Hopefully we both will survive
Just like the wind
Hug me and leave me with your scent
You will leave me breathless but eventually i will forget.

Tears are flowing
Our second thoughts are showing
we stop talking
We let our hearts do the talking
Each tearing a piece of themselves
for this final farewell
Giving each other a part of themselves
in order to remember each other forever
Even though we might be parting
I have a piece of you attached to this wounded heart

Our perfect world is dead
It won't come back again
I beg you let it all out
So I know you felt this too
Just like lightning
Kiss me for second
We both know you meant it
Just like a thunderbolt
Strike me with a goodbye
Hopefully we both will survive
Just like the wind
Hug me and leave me with your scent
You will leave me breathless but eventually i will forget.
