Goodbye..................Callous World Poem by Vandana Pant

Darkness is overwhelming,
Everything seems to hate.
I want to take my step,
Back but now its too late.
Death won’t come easy,
And life does bait.
But I have to end this
At any rate.

I know its wrong to mock life,
Cause its god’s precious gift.
I wouldn’t have been so cruel,
But my life took a nasty shift.
From all that I love,
I’m separated by a rift.
Though changes are a part of life,
But I couldn’t move with the drift.

I’m sorry mom and dad,
This will be hard for you.
To answer all those questions,
But my feeling you hardly knew.
That’s it you never had time for me,
And soon you shall rue.
Those who really cared for me,
were actually very few.

Those few will remember me,
With profound love I trust.
Though to you my friends,
I wasn’t just,
To have left your side,
But believe me it was a must.
And my grief you can not imagine,
As last threads with this life I bust.

Tears of helplessness,
Sting my eye.
In this lonely night,
Endlessly I cry.
I stifle my agony,
There escapes a sigh.
As I bid
This world “Goodbye”.
