Goodbye My Friend Poem by Lawrence Hiung

Goodbye My Friend

Goodbye, my friend, goodbye
I don’t want you to go,
I don’t wish us cry,

But what can I do?
I can’t hold you,
I can’t have you by myself forever….

The tears started coming as we waved.
Our last goodbye, as we said
Our last words, and as we look at

Each other for the last time….Goodbye
You’ll have to go, this I know
I thought I was prepared for our parting,

But I wasn’t and now the time has come,
It breaks my heart to see you go, far away from me,

Maybe we’ll meet again, someday, some place
If it’s God’s will that we should ….Hope
That this would keep me alive…Pray let it be soon;

If not, then let our last farewell be a memorable one,
Sad, perhaps but may all the moments we shared be
In it…..Goodbye, my dear, ……Goodbye.
