Goodbye, Next Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Goodbye, Next

Thought we make it as friends
Disapproved of the match
Though it was necessary
Message promptly dispatched
Disappear into irrelevancy
And for that, I'm so grateful
But you won't get no thank you's
Go on, get the fawk out

Life taught me growth
Life taught of lessons
Life taught me of gains
Which is a blessing
Here in the now
Is what's important
All that I've found
Is enough to warrant
My last words today:

Goodbye, Next
I'm so fawking thankful
things moved left.

Spend no time on what ends
Treat it like it was nothing
There is nothing to tell
As if it were really something
I know some say I don't care
But I'm too prepared
Cause in the end, I've got me
And I'm so good on that

I am so brave
I am impassioned
I come with a strength
Keeps me on my feet
Here in the now
Is what's important
All that I've found
Leads me to say:

Goodbye, Next
I'm so fawking thankful
things moved left.

One day may get brighter
I ain't holding my breath
Let it sink for a minute
It's been put to death
Shall it come with no apologies
Then you can keep that
Cause I'm fine with what happened
Say hello to my back
