Goodnight Poem by janice etienne

Goodnight

I have to go now
Sleep is calling me
Unto the downward spiraling, free falling of reality
Melting into the runic thought of imaginary
Into a world of fantasy

Please be kind and calm
So my thoughts won't be alarmed
For your noise and loud commotions
Will lead to endless nightmares of the minds potions

Oh, please keep me warm
For the atmosphere of the night will cause me harm
Sickening my nub and on my back it spreads and roams
For the cold will chill my bones

Then into the portals of my vast consciousness Lys my ability to dream
For the world is no longer as it seems
To wonder so deep and so profound
That my body begins to sink down

Deep, deep, deeper into the darkness of the ocean
Falling endlessly, my mind intoxicated with sleeps potion

Until I find my light....GOODNIGHT
