Gospel Wail Poem by DAVID GERARDINO

Gospel Wail

Hard to clean off this gospel wail,
it felt bottom-heavy, and overcrowded,
and the spit was coming out of the
seams,
and bellyup went grief,
and then the laughter
hit, and the shadow ran for out door.
