Graffiti Poets Scribble Scripts Fast Poem by Terence George Craddock

Graffiti Poets Scribble Scripts Fast

I had written a poem
which commenced
with a statement
by a fellow artist
stating he was an artist
but this did not
mean he would work
for free he had

bills to pay
he then thanked
his customers
for their understanding
I loved his words
polite to problematic point

I wrote a poem about this
'Value Fever Pitch: An Artist's Time'
to define values an artists time
the poet Ace Of Black Hearts
wrote an exceptionally beautiful
artistic heartfelt comment intrigued?
many poets write for similar reasons
many write compulsion no choice

a few poets elite might
write cereal serious
a graffiti poet
will sometimes submit
an unproofed draft
writ scribbled fast

with a possible
few spelling errors
knowing that
limited time
means
poet will never get
back to that
draft
