Grain Of Sand Poem by Kavitha Krishnamurthy

Grain Of Sand

A grain of sand with not much worth
Until a seed of life is sown
I hold the root as much as I can
Protecting the tree for a secure life
My fellow colleagues supporting me
We all consume the excess water
And when the tree bears the first few fruits
We all become happy at our heart
Seeing the contribution that we have made
Though it may be a drop
In the midst of a huge ocean
It does make us feel the importance
What better gift could one get?
Than protecting a life and see it flourish
