Grandad Heskins Poem by Jennifer A Heskins

Grandad Heskins

Your arms, always a place of warmth,
Your shoulder, a good place to cry upon.
You were there for me every day of my life,
I’m sorry I couldn’t be there for your last.
My love is with you from my first breath,
My love will be with you until my last.

Granddad, that taught me so much,
Tell me how to stop this pain.
You were not just my Granddad,
You were my friend, another father.
Surrounded by love, celebrate your life,
Friends and family cry laugh and help each other.
