Days go by, nights close in
But my love for you will never end.
Your a friend first, a lover second.
And in my heart you always be.

Your the I’ve dreamt of, the one I long for.
I need your touch, your whispers in my ear.
God knows I need you here
By my side, holding me tight.

Nothing can harm me, nothing will try.
Because I know when I’m with you,
I don’t need to fear and I don’t need to hide.
Because I have you, my man, by my side.
