Grandpa Poem by Karen Pumfrey

Grandpa

Grandkids filled with mischief,
house choas for a while.
Crazy antics, games and japes,
tear your hair out or smile?
And then the house is empty,
as it's back to home they go.
Blissful quiet, a moment's peace,
but they do love you, you know!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Every six weeks we stay over at my eighty year old father in law's house taking our two and five year old with us. They decimate his house, have emptied his bin, eaten things they shouldn't, in short choas reigns for a while. We go home, but know he secretly misses us. Love ya Harry xxx
