Grass Still Needs Mowing Poem by C H Sund

Grass Still Needs Mowing

Robin in serious mode this morning
Relentless tugging of worm resisting
Real drama in dewy grass unfolding
Rambunctious robin really regaling

Squirrely squirrel decides to sneak a peek
Surely some kernels of goodies he seeks
Spudsy spots squirrel and doggy does streak
Sadly, for Spudsy, dinner looking bleak

Timid bee buzzes bedazzling flowers
Trying to discern nectar’s best shower
Tis hard in colored canopies bower
Taking the tempting nectar to devour

Varying vistas are my eyes viewing
Verdant vestments…but grass still needs mowing!
