great
the dialogues of plato

the true, the good and
the beautiful

rereading them
makes the monologues

of a woman scorned
so super
ficially inferior

but for a change
let me listen with one ear

the other listens
to Basia singing

I don't really mind
and there is really no need

to run for cover
freeze thaw promises
