Great Sorrow Poem by Boston Kelley

Great Sorrow

Great sorrow, like a wave,
Crashes onto me;
Beneath the waters I sink
And sink more.
Where has this wave been born
That it causes my grief?
What force has stirred the waters
To tower over me?
I am a blind man to the cause,
Ever interrogating.
Send forth clarity to still the sea
That rages around me.
