Great Wars Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Great Wars

Forty words:

The First World War was fought in the trenches
The Second World War was fought from the air.
A Third World War never shall be...
Whilst at the Cenotaph prayers we share,
And John McCrae's poppy of Flanders we wear.
