Greed Poem by shea stagg

Greed

Rating: 5.0

He’d lived his whole life not knowing nor caring of the plight of others.
Blind to the suffering and the hurt!
The old and the weak, starving, living on handouts or anything else they could find
He never saw the helpless children, disfigured beggars living in the dirt.
He walked swiftly past them, “time was money” to them he was blind.
Should he just for one second see! His mind could not take it, madness would course
Through his brain!
These hapless victims whose lives exist full of pain!
His cell phone rang, a client, a lost signal, how unfortunate!
