Greed Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Greed

Greed

Her heart is, possibly
(As she says)
Full of love, and kindness, spirit

That can be
If tummy’s daily need and greed, let, permit.

She’s purchased the next door to expand.
First things first, uprooted the trees and grass.

The same is with Taftan Restaurant; homeless birds
Increase, by build-up, kill nature, add asphalt.

Destroy the natural, add to the parking lot; new sites.
I’m against, bothers me, don’t welcome.

What if we, the mankind, were the first?
To vanish, terminate and fade out?

The Earth would, turn again, to heaven
As it was till Adam; piece of shit.

Farmed, hunted; destroyed.

“The beast and the savage”, “Animals”
As call them Gringo “Aboriginals” are the ones
To respect motherland and green
As others, “Equals”

These great ‘kind beings’ went bowing
To the land and water and the rest:

“I’m in need, hungry, let me eat and drink.”

They would take just enough
Not excess, no greed
(As we are now-a-day, like said two)
