Grey Eyes Poem by Anna Haines

Grey Eyes

Rating: 4.8

Her eyes so grey...
why so grey? ...
her eyes are just like her world..
why you ask? ..
her eyes seen so much pain...
shes been hurt...
her heart a stone...
a cracked one...
yeah shes loved...
but she dont feel it...
her heart wont allow her to feel loved...
why you ask? ...
cause her eyes are grey...
her world is grey...
she needs the color of her soul back...
back in her eyes..
back in her heart...
back in her world...
rid the darkness from her eyes...
rid the darkness from her heart...
rid the darkness from her world...
oh Jesus please put your holy spirit...
back in her eyes...
put your holy spirit back in her heart...
put it back in her world...
heal her from her suffering...

An insightful depiction of depression - loss of sunshine in a life at its lowest ebb. A sad tale of unhappiness written with conviction. Thanks for sharing Anna. May your future be greater than your past and present would let you dream of.
