Grief - Memorial In The Bright Sunshine Poem by Paul Warren

Grief - Memorial In The Bright Sunshine

The sun shone down on us all
As the cooling breeze sent out our call
To those we loved who have left us to cry
And we look gently to the clear blue sky

The Police band played and sung 'Pictures of You'
As the tears flowed and the sobs softly grew
Photographs of the loved glitter in the sun
The Memorial place is consecrated for all and one

Remember them with their laughter felt
And know they are here in your heart to melt
Butterflies float from their cage
As now and forever our Remembrance is made.
