Grieving Feelings Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Grieving Feelings

Haunt me not, Oh feeling, leave me
Lay my soul to rest
Bittersweet for what time is stealing
Why must ye take away all the, best

Wake me not, for love, to grieve
My heart hurts within my chest
Let me dream away this weary feeling
Why must I bare thy will, and not forget

In myself, I cry from hurtful anger
Leading forward beyond the solace lie
The sting of life shall touch all deeply
Still, for strength, sad tears must hide

Where prayers have made so tender, I
Hell waits for a moments chance
To free the beast caged within me
The fallen retorting past life, transgressed

Dear hearts that have left this grieving feeling
You have touched me past life's test
I await the day I am free from, feeling
When nature calls home our loving pets
