Woe Away Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Woe Away

Rating: 5.0

Woe away. oh worried me
My house; My home;
Now in the sea

Small I am and so I need
To keep me warm; Oh woe is me

Barley time, The cold winds came
With soaking ground from so much rain
It blew and blew in a cloudburst spray
My only home, now floats away

Just then an owl passing by
He put his wingspan over I
Defying the storm with a place to hide
He said we both now, will survive

Ole owl battled on throughout the storm
There, within his feathers soft and warm
A little rabbit's comfort mattered more
Begins two friends, forevermore

Former enemies find themselves united in the bond of friendship battling for life. Beautiful.
