An elegant carriage nature did send
For the Monarch butterflies to descend
Upon this private garden
A fritillary with such spotted wings
Seems enthralled as the yellow warbler sings
Begging the hummingbird's pardon
Honeybees pollinating all around
Above the praying mantis on the ground
Oscillates a sudden stir
Too late for the black widow to retreat
Comes the scurry rummaging of four feet
Amid dandelion and fur.
