Ground Zero Poem by Rowland Howells Ibifiri Orumbie

Ground Zero

Rating: 5.0

Ground Zero

I've been at the bottom
Using rocks for pillow
From a scale of 1 to 10
I was stuck at ground Zero.

Cold overtime from loneliness
Completely hungry for a win
My heels wounded by time
So I slept on my dreams.

In a state of mind where you
Only feel blessed when you receive
Frustration is like a roped tied to your
Neck, it leaves you struggling to live.

I've been in the darkness for so long
Now, it's not so dark anymore
Realizing, the keys to success
Is not made for one door.
