Growing Boy - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Growing Boy - Lincoln Park Zoo

My first baby when he was born,
A boy all bouncing pound for pound.
Happened a sunny August morn.
Lincoln Park Zoo was all around.
Since then more than a year has passed,
And I'm amazed how much he's grown.
It's true that kids grow up so fast,
But faster when he is your own.
That once wee guy under my feet
Is still a stay close to Mom son.
But a little distance is sweet,
Cuz he's almost now at a ton.

For a rhino Mom, it's such joy
Being there for a growing boy.
