Growing Inside Poem by Guinevere Eveleigh

Growing Inside

You grow inside of me
As I go against my parents word
You grow inside of me
As you father turns me towards the cold
You grow more and more
As I find a way to earn money for us
You inside a little world
Protected from all taunts
Protected inside my very womb
As I sing you a lullaby to hush out all the noise
Sheltered from ignorant globe
What the hell do they know?
Just because I'm young
I'm going to be a good mother
I'm going to prove them all wrong
My little one
