Growth Eats Faith. Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

Growth Eats Faith.

Progress is growth; everyone must grow.
Schools must grow, hospitals must grow;
Business must grow; producers must grow.
To grow means to eat; growth means eating things.
Growth has no concern for things it feeds on.
Cows would grow fat eating grass a lot.
Cows would have no concern for the grass they eat.
Growth in focus, fair means is forgotten.

Growth has eaten faith; growth has eaten peace.
I wish I was born during the Stone Age.
