Guerrilla War Poem by Justin Gildow

Guerrilla War

On this island
Against this nation
Against this dictator
I have no choice
I must fight

Dressed like a guerrilla
I'm loaded for battle
I'm ready for war
I'm hoping for peace
At the end of all of this

Packing my gun
Grabbing my grenades
I'm ready

Many will be ready to
take me down
Soldiers
Tanks
Armored trucks
Armed war planes
Yet, I must do what
I must do
And if it means waging
guerrilla war against this
dictator and this nation
Then so be it
Because, as I've learned
Freedom is a beautiful thing
Freedom is a wonderful thing
