All my life, I walked and walked till my legs hurt
In search of my rightful destination, that I longed for a lot.
The path was not all so well
Rocks and thorns filled 'em like hell
I treaded a thousand miles still
Praying with all my heart not to lose my will.
At last I reached a cross-road,
But knew little where to head to, for to reach my loving abode
I took a glance beyond the path I treaded
So stained by the blood my sore feet seeped.
Fatigue then devoured my body so bad
And darkness filled my eyes so sad.
I grappled in the dark so hard
And tried with all my might to keep abreast my guard.
Alas, I could move no further; my body writhed in pain
Falling on my knees i cried; as i feared my endeavors would go in vain
With a numb body and soul there I lay, but then I felt a hand -
holding mine, urging me forward and guiding me fine.
Led by the guiding hands, I walked now with much more ease
For once I knew my life was given a fresh new lease.
I could see soon a glimmer of light, and Oh, beyond me lay a brand new way
With joys unbound, once again I behold my paradise so wonderful and gay,
Alas, to my dismay the guiding hand was no more to be seen
I realized, it was thee my lord, who hast lent thy hands to tide me past the life so mean.
Thank thee lord for where I am and who I am now
My prayers to thee to let me have thy hands guide me for ever though.
