Under a misty romanian sky
Surrounded by her gypsy clan
She dreams of starry dances
And a shadow of a kind man
She's danced for commoners
For her life, kith, and kin
But her shaking hands hold hope
A decree on parchment thin
She remembers the night so clearly
When she first saw his face
How could she have known then
That he was their lord grace
He had watched so silently
While she wove in and around
To a song only she could hear
Her spirit there unbound
When the dance had spent
And she found herself again
She saw in his honest eyes
A true and faithful friend
Only 1 night did they share
Underneath heavens illumined skies
But it was more real to her sometimes
Than the air to her surprise
Now her king has found his love
And called her to love's eternal dance
Fate held the cards all along
Aided there by chance circumstance
Or may it be perhaps
That the stars were listening all the while
Does it matter truly now
That she wears love's sweetest smile
Her heart takes wing as she flies
To dream there of heaven's knight
Her life has only just begun
Her darkness has found it's light
