I had a desire
That my ladylove would good
At heart,
Would be good by nature,
But the things did not go in my favour
And the desire remained a desire,
A burning desire,
Burning me
As it burnt me all through,
But with the growing age
I want to be at peace
Taking refuge in good counsel and wisdom.
