Haiku Poem by Kurt(Sam) Hearth

Haiku

I faced my enemy
our eyes locked.
Skies darkened a raven cried.

From brilliant white clouds
a rainbow touched somewhere.
Trumpets proclaimed new life.

Cries heard tears flowed
feelings joyous anguish.
The cycle perpetuated.

As in the womb.
New seed planted.
The farmer departs to dream.

Winds gust strong.
Oars creak strain.
How many seas to wisdom's port?
