Haiku (Psychiatry) Poem by Raymond Farrell

After I graduated from medicine I thought maybe I would like to go into Psychiatry and spent and extra 3 months at a Special Treatment unit affiliated with the Ontario prison system. I learned had useless the whole business was and what a hoax is being perpetrated on the public by this profession. The latest DSM V is discussed in a book calle Saving Normal by the Chairman of the DSM IV committee and he bemoans the diagnostic hyperinflation in the DSM V and how it will see countless children put on useless drugs for conditions invented by committe that have no basis in reality.
