Hall Of The Opera House Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Hall Of The Opera House

In the Hall of the Opera House
Night
Dark
And a large Blue Bird
Flying thither
Hither
Still in its Wrath
Lurid in the mystery of its Eyes
No actors
Yet came sounds
Of playing of the Opera
And
At the back
Tall
A figure draped black
With a pince-nez
In the night
The Hall of the Opera House.
