Halloween Poem 2008 - Hungry For Blood

Rating: 4.5

October 31st
A most ghoulish, demonic, terrifying
Time of the year
Creatures wait all year long, until the sun sets
And hell is unleashed
On October 31st.

Pumpkins glare silently, perched on doorsteps,
Sat on windowsills. Everywhere!
Their evil orange features glow brightly in the darkness.
As if watching, spying. Hungry.

Ghouls raid the cobbled streets, roaring and raging.
Smashing everything in their path, seeking,
Juicy blood filled brains
Crunchy bones and soft flesh of the unlucky victims!

Vampires glide the sky
Casting shadows against the pearly white moon
Slurping the glistening blood of the innocent
Fangs shining in the moonlight
Sallow skin cursed with ugliness

Werewolves howl and curse angrily in the depth
Of the forests
Fury and rage towards the mysterious ball of white in the sky
For cursing, transforming them
Loved ones become enemies
Their ravenous nature is a legend
Their hungry for more!

Witches cackle, faces deformed
Noses green and wart infested
But they possess the power of magic
Which helps them with their only goal
To eat the human young!

But there is no proof, it all seems to be imaginary
Or,
Are they real?
Do they hide in the shadows waiting
For prey to stumble upon them?

These creatures are hungry for one thing
One thing only
Hungry for Blood!

This may not be the best because I was ill when writing this and probably aren't thinking straight.
