Hallucination Poem by Jihene Khammassi

Hallucination

Amidst the tormenting turmoil of thy love
I am but a wandering, wingless dove.
The powers of the trucks emasculate my hopes.
A haunting image! Thee grab my focus.
My words are monsensical messages.Craziness!
TO the shores of serenity and happiness,
We drifted together hand in hand,
Embarking our hearts,
Diving with frozen fears.
But, waves of envy, enmity and destruction
Struck the company in a delightful interjection.
I went into pieces floating in despair.
But, thy love gave wings to the dove.
Elated, I could gather myself and fill the air.
Now, we embarked thy heart,
Crossed the storms and won the fight.
When we reached the shores,
I was alone, amisdst the same turmoil,
Once again, wingless, in my heart a piercing foil.
