Hand Touch - Poem by Elena Goldenberg

When I hold your hand
My life is whole
I feel fulfilled
And upright I stand
My pains are stilled
'Cause what grief I had you sole

When I hold your hand
My touch is rough
I know I'm strong
Yet I understand
It'd all be wrong
If at my love you'd laughed

When I hold your hand
My blood is fast
I know I'm all eyes
A bike in open land
My skin is ice
'Cause what nerve I have won't last

When I hold your hand
My self is whole
I feel safe and home
Time has sold her sand
To leave us all alone

When I hold your hand
I feel I have your heart
Yet you touch my soul.
